Is Atorlip, A Good Medicine To Reduce Cholesterol Level?

Hello.I had a blood test done and the result today of my colesterol level is 218...while it should be supposedly 200. I am 60 years old and a very healthy woman who is very active with fitness . My dokter here told me to buy Atorlip of 20 mg...and take them for 10 days....1 tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening. Just checked the medicine on the internet...and it kind of scares me a little to take it. Please give me your opinion !!!!!

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,
Atorlip contains the active ingredient atorvastatin which is rightly indicated for lowering cholesterol level.
I really do not see a reason for you being scared. Is it side effects or what? You should know that all medications have side effects but before a drug is approved for usage, it is checked several times by an accredited international body who makes sure that the side effects occur in very little proportion for a given population or that the drug's benefit outweighs the disadvantages.
So be rest assured, follow your doctor's prescription and you will have your cholesterol controlled so as to prevent future possible cardiovascular complications.

Hope this helps
