Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I will keep a possibility of Intertrigo/
Fungal infection.
Body folds provide an ideal environment for the fungus to proliferate because of the moist, humid, warm conditions that prevail in the folds.
The problem is of particular concern in those who sweat a lot and in hot, humid weather condition.
If I was the treating doctor I would asked her to use an antifungal cream/lotion, twice daily. The combination that you mention i.e beclomethasone dipropionate,
clotrimazole and neomycin cream, would be useful in this condition.
I would suggest that you take her to a specialist
dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate prescription.
An
Oral antifungal may also be started if the area of involvement is extensive. Oral antifungals are prescription drugs.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g
cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide her symptomatic relief from itching.
Once the condition resolves, regular use of an antifungal dusting powder in the body folds will prevent a recurrence.
