Is Betadine Ointment Application On Acne Spots,safe?
Hi My daughter has minor acne and was given doxycycline tablets, all was going well until she started using ice cubes on her forehead which has now irritated her forehead looking like she has burnt the skin. Can you use betadine ointment on the irritated spots? Or should she just leave it alone. Regards Sue

Betadine ointment is safe though it is not a recommended topical application for acne. For acne, I would suggest you use either clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide gel.
