Is Bextra Considered A Safe Drug?

I have an old bottle of BEXTRA (valdecoxib) tablets. This drug has been considered unsafe. Should I merely toss them in the garbage? Your recommendation is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

First, don't worry, we don't get your email address. Second, Bextra is an old drug. While I generally scoff at expiration dates, this is at least 5 years past.

Then, generally, it wasn't that dangerous to most people which is why it got FDA approval and was taken off the market years later.

But mainly, this far after it was prescribed, you don't know that it would be prescribed to you now even if it were on the market.

So, mainly because you would be randomly taking a medicine, you need to throw it out. Then, it is expired and pulled off the market.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
