Is Bonnisan The Right Medicine For Diarrhea In A Child?

My 4.5 months old son having diarrhea like symptoms from morning. Passed motion 4 times and now passing motion very frequently small and liquid. He is taking Bonnisan. What we can I give him to immediate relief since Sunday I cannot find my doc today.

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. Bonnisan is an ayrvedic medicine. I am not sure it would be of much help. I would suggest to start with antiboiotic like norfloxacin/metronidazole 100/120 mg per 5ml. Give 5ml two times a day. Lactobacillus sachet two times a day and Oral rehydrating solution in small sips throughout the day. You can start with zinc supplementation as well. I hope this helps. Thanks and regards.
