Is Botox Effective In The Treatment Of Vestibular Migraines?

Have vestibular migraines every day Does botox work. I am 83 lbs dizzy, terrible headaches, neck pain radiates up scalp, vision problems, tmj etc this was just diagnosed after 1 1/2 yrs have had every test. I am very sensitive to all medications & have a pulmonary problems. Just want to know if I would be a candidate? Have a client whose been getting them for years an say its the only thing that works.

Hello,

Botox injections have been an accepted and approved treatment option for migraine for some time. It has been used successfully in vestibular migraine as well.

It is not approved as a first choice treatment, though, only if other preventive medication have been tried and failed. If that is your case, then you would be a suitable candidate for Botox treatment and I would recommend it.
