Buscopan is an antispasmodic and should be used with caution in elderly patients and patients with impaired kidney function. Regular dialysis eliminates the drug from the blood. Buscopan may cause side effects like constipation, dryness of mouth, and urinary retention. Contact your doctor if the side effects are severe.
