Is CMV Igg Reactive And CMV Igm Non-Reactive The Same As HIV?

Hi Doctor, Can you please confirm is CMV igg Reactive and CMV igm Non-Reactive is same as HIV or do we need to worry that it can lead to HIV for new born. He is just 10 days baby. or do we need to take any vaccine that can avoid any future health issues.

Hello,

You should know that CMV is a different virus from HIV and you shouldn't worry about HIV because being infected with CMV doesn't mean you have risk for HIV. Having CMV, IGG reactive and IGM non reactive means that baby is immune for this CMV and is not recently infected.
