Is CT Scan Needed To See If There Is Cyst On Kidney?
I did a Lumbar CT scan due to a herniated L4/L5 disc. The CT scan showed a possible cyst on my left kidney. I then did an ultrasound and they were unable to detect anything, now they are recommending a CT scan specifically for the kidney, is this necessary or was the ultrasound confirmation enough that no problem exists?
Good day and thank you for being with health care magic!!! If the cyst is small and it is characterized as a simple cyst then I don't think further CT SCAN is needed for a simple cyst.
I hope I have answered your question properly.
