Is Cartigen Forte The Right Medicine To Reduce Knee Pain?

Hi, Thank you for your great efforts. I want to ask a question about my mother s knees pain. She takes Cartigen Forte once in a day but pain still persists. Recently, the Dr. prescribed the same medicine twice in a day. She develops acidity. Kindly let us know if Cartigen Forte is good for her twice in a day or could you please let me know other good medicine. With kind regards, Kamal Verma, New Delhi

I can understand your concern.
It is not effective in reducing the knee pain.

Cartigen Forte which contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Cholecalciferol, Calcium & other important minerals is used as a nutritional supplement and adjuvant therapy for painful joint conditions like osteoarthritis and rhuematoid arthritis. It helps to repair the damage caused by age related changes or disease to a certain extent.
It is not helpful in reducing the knee pain. For the relief of pain you should take drugs like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.
Another effective combination is Paracetamol with opioid analgesic like Tramadol or Codeine.
You may also get benefit from the Capsaicin cream to be applied over the affected area with out any side effects.
