Is Cetil Effective For Both Urinary Tract And Stomach Infection?

Hi doc my mom has been diagnosed with urinary tract infection (e.Coli)..also stomach infection at the same time.got her urine culture report which doesn t mention cefudoxime s susceptibility...but the doctor has prescribed cetil250 for both the infections.do u think this wud help her.?.

Hi,

It may be effective for both conditions. Cetil (cefuroxime) is commonly prescribed to treat infections caused by susceptible bacterial such as urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infections, and gastrointestinal infections.

If the gastrointestinal infection is caused by a susceptible bacteria then cetil may be effective in eradicating the infection.
