Is Ciplar La 40 The Right Medicine For Migraine Headache?

Hi! Dr said I have migraine it was diagnosed last year Dec. Medicines given CIPLAR LA 40 N for sos NAXDOM 250 Most offenly it appears at night n suddenly I woke up with severe head ache left side including left eye as if some one inserting nail in my eye. Dr said if I get again migraine attract within 2 months then visit again. So now it appears again n Dr is in Chandighar n im in kashmir so what do I do.

We understand your concern.

Ciplar [propranalol] is the right medication for migraine prophylaxis.If the frequency of headache has reduced you will need same dosage for next 2-3 months.If frequency increases you will need increase in dose.You can consult a psychiatrist or neurologist in your locality for increase in dose.Some times even with prophylaxis you end up having an episode of headache.You can take naxdom 250 mg during that time. Don't worry for one or two episodes in a month.
