I was recently in the hospital and had a catheter in my urinary track from Friday afternoon (March 9) to Tuesday morning (March 13). I was sent home with a prescription for Clinfamycin and was told it was given to me to prevent an occurrence of UTI. From what I see on line there is not mention of the antibiotic being effective for UTI. Please advise.
Clindamycin works efficiently against many organisms which are responsible for UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). Continue the dosage of the medicine with plenty of liquids.
