Is Clonazapam Beneficial To Treat A Heart Murmur?

Yes hi my mum has a slight heart murmur and has been given clonazapam to relax her as she is in hospice due to cancer she also is on hyrdomorphin every 4 hrs and yesterday was her first dose of clonazapam and then she was given some more today at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then a evening dose. All day today she was very out of it and was extremely sleepy, falling asleep during eating and conversations...etc. my question is do my sisters and I have to be worried with her heart murmur and that drug and the fact she is 89 lbs. as well should she be on it along with the hyrdomorphin or would fentanyl be a better alternative? We have asked them to not administer anymore until it is out of her system and we can give something different which allows her to be coherent as she is only 67 and is sharp as a tac normally!

Hi, Clonazepam does not treat a heart murmur.Heart murmur is produced by turbulent flow of blood through heart.sometimes it may be a normal finding.Getting this much clonazepam and hydromorphone is probably too much and is keeping her knocked out.I think clonazepam needs to be decreased to keep her awake and comfortable.
