hi, pls my girl friend has been having candidiasis for some time now which she has been treating with canesten cream without any success. Recently she went for a lab test and she was told she has coliform. Pls is this an STD? How could she have got it since am her only sexual partner and free? Tanks
Hello and welcome to HCM, Coliform infection is not due to STD. Coliform infection is infection caused by certain bacteria which are abundant in the gastrointestinal tract. This infection can be treated with appropriate antibiotics. Consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, interpretation of the report and thus treatment.
