Is Cybelle Safe To Be Taken While Having Delay In Periods?

Hi. My doctor prescribed this medicine duphaston for my irregular menstrual cycle. He told me to take this twice a day. And after 5 days I will be having my period. But what happen is I don't experience the menstruation which is said to be schedule after taking this medicine. So, what I want to know if I will take the next prescription which is cybelle even though I don't have my period. Because, my doctor said that take cybelle on your second day of menstruation.

Hi,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information. Withdrawal bleeding is observed 3-7 days after completion of the hormone course. It may take up to ten days also. If you do not see a period even after this, exclude pregnancy before commencing the prescribed medication. You can get a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs. If pregnancy is negative and the pelvic study is normal, you can go ahead with the medication after informing your consultant. Hope this helps.
