Hi & Welcome.

Yes, it is a pain killer for certain conditions.

Cymbalta (Duloxetine) is a selective serotonin & norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor antidepressant (SSNRI) and is basically used to treat major depression, general anxiety disorder & to treat pain caused by nerve damage in patients with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy).

It is also approved to treat chronic musculoskeletal pain like fibromyalgia, low back pain and osteoarthritis pain.

Hope this answers your query.
