Is DNC Safe At 5 Months Of Pregnancy?

hi sir, my sister in law is pregnant and is at her 5th month.today after some regular check up and scanning came to know that the baby has some problem with brain and the baby may become mentally retarded.The doc suggested to do DNC. Is it safe to do DNC at this stage.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Fetus with congenital anomalies should be terminated by medical method of abortion. It is safe to get termination of pregnancy done before 20 weeks of pregnancy.
