Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 4yr. Old son is complaining about stomach pain since yesterday. He is also vomitting everytime we give him something to eat or drink. I have him checked by a pediatrician and ask me to give him erceflora. I would like to know if its ok to give him domperidone as well? Because he is still vomitting a little.
Domperidone is the safe medicine for vomiting in children. However, Erceflora (which is a probiotic) is mainly used to treat acute diarrhea or diarrhea associated with antibiotics has no role in preventing the vomiting. There is nothing wrong in giving Domperidone but the the cause of vomiting like gastritis or any acute abdomen should be ruled out & treated accordingly. Hope this answers your query.
