Is Dulcolax Tablet The Right Medicine For Constipation?

I recently had hemmohroid ligation surgery ( with prolapse) - a little over a week ago and still feel very constipated. I've been taking lactulose at bedtime at times in the morning as well. Currently feel the urge to go, but quite "stuck" and afraid to push hard. As I took the Lactulose 5 hours ago - can I take Dulcolax as well? Will it help? Hate to mess up my surgery!! :(

Hello
As there is hemorrhoids ligation surgery , you had taken lactulose twice , urge is there but unable to pass stool because of fear .
This indicate that there is stool formed but unable to pass because either due to hardness or due to fear of pain.
Now question is about BISACODYL i.e. duclolax.
Since there is a ligation surgery , so dulcolax is contraindicate in ligarion surgery as well in impacted faecal matter .
So don't take surgery , rather opt for glycerine enema or soap water enema .
Don't strain as it will not be good for you.
