Is Glucophage 500mg The Right Medicine To Get Pregnant?

Hello My age is 31 and i am having 3 yrs old baby i am trying to conceive for the last year after the complete blod test my tsh is 31 with normal t3 and t4 and low HB 8. I am having heavy weight gain, 86 kg and my height is 5 feet 3 inches, except of dieting and exercising, tired, high heart rate, headache and delay periods for 2 to 3 months. My doctor did not gave me thyroid medicine, he prescribe iron supplement, proglyton, glucophage 500mg 1 at night and inderal 1 daily. I want to know are these medicines will help me to conceive and will high can delay pregnancy Thankyou

Thanks for posting your query.

First of all you need to be put on Thyroid medicine as your TSH is very high 31 ( Normal range is 0.3-- 5 ) . And all your problems point towards Thyroid problem only . Unless your Thyroid problem is controlled the chances of you conceiving is less . So I strongly recommend you to get treatment started for Thyroid .

I am not able to find why Glucophage has been prescribed to you. Did you get Ultrasound done and did it showed cysts in your ovaries ? In that case Glucophage can be used else not required.
