Protected sex but unprotected oral sex with a unknown hiv status girl. HIV RNA PCR negative on 44th day & hiv duo test negative after 5 months. Is this conclusive? Is der any chance of late seroconversion? M really worried & tensed. Plz tell me m I 100% negative. Shud I go for any other test at 6 month. I was planning for a rna pcr. Plz suggest.
unprotected oral sex with a HIV positive person although less risky compared to vaginal sex with a HIV positive person definitely carries a risk of HIV acquisition . but if a RNA PCR test is negative after 14 days of exposure or ELISA test is negative after 3 months of exposure then you can rest assured about your negative status and don't need to repeat any test now.
