Years ago, my mother was losing her hair (sometimes in small clusters) A chiropractor suggested inositol, and it seemed to help. I got some and am taking it (500 mg per capsule). It is harmful to take more than one a day for a couple of weeks to get it into my system?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of hairfall, my treatment advice is:
1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk.
2. Use a good herbal hair oil and shampoo for routine use.
3. Inositol is of not much value in hairfall.
4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins and mesotherapy done by a dermato-surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
