Is Lisinopril Required For High Blood Pressure Suddenly Once ?

I have never had high blood pressure but today it was 165/95 so the doctor prescribed 10mg of lisinopril. I am just concerned because my pressure in the past has been high when I am sick of nervous but never stays up long. I am 62 years old and my pressure has been low at times. Should I be concerned about taking this.

Dear sir

Lisinopril are a good group of drugs belonging to ACE inhibitors, which acts by blocking RAAS.

It has various good effects apart from controlling blood pressure, it rarely causes low blood pressure

So dont worry It is advised to continue the drug, but make sure you are not suffering from renal disorders and electrolyte disturbances.

Thanks
