Is Meprate Tablet The Right Medicine For Irregular Menstruation?

Hi, I have problem of irregular periods. It takes more than 4-5 months. My doctors advised to take meprate tab twice in a day for 5 days. I had but still I am waiting for period from 8 days. My Lh was high on 2nd of last period. It was 18. My tubes are normal, ovary are normal, uterus is normal and no PCOS was found. So please advise that what kind of treatment should I take in future. My marriage life is 4 years

Taking meprate for 5days will help in getting withdrawal bleeding.But the underlying problem needs to be addressed. eventhough on USG no PCOS, you need to go for harmonal profile and depending on the result and physical examination treatment will be planned.you didnt mention your age and kids are there or not.so it is better you consult a qualified gynaecologist. we need to know your weight,any over growth of facial hair,blackening of skin of armpits etc.In general one has to maintain proper balanced diet,less of junk food like pizzas,more of fresh fruits and vegetables,coffee or tea not more than 3 times a day and regular exercise like walking for 1hr daily is required for any body to maintain health as well as getting regular periods.
