i am 33 weeks pregnant now and from last two visits my bp is recorded as 130/90 and i am a hypothyroid.Fetal growth is normal and it is weighing almost 2.1 kg.the doctor made a diagnosis of mild PIH and she is keeping me on methyldopa 250mg bd.can u please suggest me that is there is something to worry for my baby and will it cause any preterm birth or r there channces of CS. looking forward for the reply. Hello,welcome to HCM. Yes methyldopa use in pregnancy where bp is high. In case of high bp there may be a chance of growth retardation, preterm delivery required if bp is not controled and high and cs may be needed in some cases.
