Hello. Thank you for writing to us. I do not understand the rationale behind advising 2 cleansers i.e both face wash as well as acne soap. I disagree with it. The face wash that you mention contains salicylic acid which is comedolytic as well as decreases oil production, thus beneficial in acne. In my view you may continue with this face wash and discontinue the soap. In addition to face wash I suggest you to use specific topical treatment for acne i.e topical antiacne antibacterial gel like clindamycin gel or benzoyl peroxide gel for active acne during day time. At night you may use a topical retinoid e.g adapalene gel over the whole affected area. Topical retinoids are comedolytic and are effective in all grades of acne. I suggest you to visit a dermatologist. Youe dermatologist will assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly. Regards
