Is Misoprostol Effective If I Have No Bleeding?

Hello, I was given 4 Misoprostol to insert vaginally after I had a medical abortion, but was left with a clot in the uterus. I inserted that tablets about 26 hours ago and other than experiencing cramps and a brown discharge when I use the restroom, I have had no other symptoms particularly no bleeding. Would this indicate that the medication is working even though there is no bleeding as there was with the medical abortion a couple of weeks ago?

Incomplete data like the duration of pregnancy, etc.

Suspected incomplete abortion.

Misoprostol will be more effective if used within nine weeks since the last menstruation. The earlier in the pregnancy it is administered the better, because it is safer, more effective and less painful.

Since you had mild cramps and brown discharge without actual vaginal bleeding even after 26 hrs of using Misoprostol, it may suggest that abortion has not taken place and you may require a repeat dosage of Misprostol or surgical termination like D & C. for that you are advised to consult a gynecologist.
