Is Mobic Safe For The Treatment Of Knee And Neck Pain In An Elderly Woman?

Mom is 86 and has RA, She's on Enbrel, Methotrexate, she still has pain in knees hands & neck. Her PCP want her to try Mobic for the pain. The side effects that came with the Mobic concerns her.

Is Mobic Safe for a 86 year old lady who is in very good shape except for the Pain

Mobic is a brand name of meloxicam and it can be used for knee pain and neck pain as in arthritis-related conditions. However, it is not recommended for prolonged use.

You can consider analgesics like tramadol which is a better option for the elderly.
