Is Naproxen 500 Mg The Right Medicine For Severe Back Pain?

Hi I was just put on apo-celecoxib 200mg once a day I have severe back pain and was just switched from naproxen 500mg 2 times a day to this and the pain is no different how long before I start feeling any kind of pain relief they say this is stronger then the 1000 mg of naproxen I was taking is this true?

Both the drugs you have mentioned are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and are indicated to treat pain in diseases like osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis in adults.
The only difference between them is in their mode of action to relieve pain. Naproxen is a non-selective COX inhibitor and Celecoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor.
Hence, you may consider Clelecoxib to be more efficient in its action. You can use the one which you are more comfortable with.
