Is Negoest Effective For Pregnancy?

Hi,My wife's docotor advised to take neogest 200mg for 15 days.
from 15 days of LMP she had doen tone ultra scan advised to put neogest 200mg for 15 days. Now are doing the same since last 7 days. Kindly confirm is it rihgt medicine for preg.?
Alos plz clarify whie yusing that negoest, is it possible to have sex?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
- Neogest is a progesteron containing medicine, it is given in early months of pregnancy to provide support to growing Embryo.So of course it's a right medicine in pregnancy.
Neogest is used whenever there is deficiency of hormone progesteron (which is mandatory for maintenance of pregnancy & fetal growth.) usually this support is extended till 12-14 weeks of pregnancy, when placenta takes over the production of progesteron.
- So, you will understand that not because of Neogest but because of the progesteron deficiency & possibility of abortion- sex should be avoided till 14 weeks of pregnancy.
