Is Neurontin Drug Recommended For Neuropahty Patients?

I have been on Lyrica 75 mg 3 times a day for 10 years for neuropathy in feet due to a bad fall hurting both feet as well as thyroid cancer with radio active iodine treatment. I use a tens unit everyday which has been extremely helpful. This past month, I have gradually gone down to two 75 mg a day with success. Do I dare change to neurotin which would be much cheaper?
