Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I went through your son's history and would like to make suggestions for him as follows:
1. Regarding sweating and
dizziness, there are numerous possible causes. Most common causes are simple like inadequate hydration, reduced blood sugar (usually due to reduced food intake, staying hungry for long time, etc),
tiredness, severe/prolonged exercise, etc.
I would like to know about duration of the episode as well as how it improved.
If it was the first time such episode, I would suggest you not to worry too much. However, if such episode occurs again, I would suggest you to get him examined by a
pediatrician who may also suggest some investigations to identify the cause.
2. Regarding
omnacortil, it is to be given for severe cases of wheezing/asthma but not for all wheezing episodes.
This is because many safer drugs and inhalers (such as salbutamol or
levosalbutamol) are available for wheezing and Omnacortil (
Prednisolone) can have many side effects if used frequently.
3. As he has allergies, I would suggest him
allergy testing for common air-borne allergens such as house dust mites, pollens, molds, insect proteins, animal dander, etc. This will help you to identify the substances causing allergies to him as well as to know the measures to avoid them.
4. In general, please avoid exposure to dusts, smokes and air pollution as much as possible.
5. Healthy diet rich in vitamins & minerals and ensuring adequate liquids during day would also help him improve his immunity and maintain hydration in a long run.
Hope above suggestions will be helpful to him.
Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish your son the best of the health ahead.
Thank you & Regards.
