Is Pantodac A Good Alternative Of Pantocid For The Treatment Of Acidity?

I am 67 and have been advised by my doctor to take one tablet of Pantocid DSR before breakfast for my acidity problem and I am doing the same. While leaving abroad my chemist has given me Pantodac DSR by oversight and I also failed to notice it. I will be returning to my country after 30 days only. Is it safe to use the substituted medicine till I return? Your advice please.

Yes, Pantodac DSR medicine is a good alternative of Pantocid DSR for stomach acidity issues.

Both of these medications contain a proton pump inhibitor Pantoprazole (40 mg) and a prokinetic drug Domperidone (30 mg) and is commonly used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and other stomach acidity related problems.

Further, Pantodac DSR is as effective as Pantocid DSR in suppressing the stomach acid production thus preventing the acid reflux and hence it can be taken as good alternative.
