Is Pause MF Adviasable For Post Abortion Bleeding?
Hi I m 35 year old Recently i got abortion. still I'm bleeding (moderate) from last 1.5 month. My doc suggested me Tab. pause MF for 2 days. should I take that tab r wait for few more days? (tod it reduced). it is off one day and again starts for 2 days.
After the abortion, there is moderate bleeding as along with the products of conception, some blood is expelled out. As the uterus contracts firmly the blood vessels in the uterine walls get squeezed and the bleeding stops. If the products are not expelled out completely, the bleeding continues heavily.
Tranexamic acid helps control the bleeding due to clotting disorders.
If you are bleeding moderately, you need not take any medicine. The bleeding should stop in a couple of days if the abortion is complete. If the bleeding continues, you may take Tab. Misoprostol which will contract the uterus strongly and the bleeding will be controlled.
