Is Proxyvon And Pantocid After Ingesting Alcohol Contraindicated?
I had two beers and 50 ml of sweet vermouth between 9pm - 11.30 pm. At 4 am I took a Pantocid 40mg (Pantaprazole) and Proxyvon (Propoxyphene Napsylate USP 100mg, Acetaminophen IP 400mg). It's 4:22 am and I realise that proxyvon and alcohol are not meant to be taken together. Will I be alright considered the low amounts of alcohol I took. How long does alcohol stay in the body (half life)?
The alcohol stays in the body roughly 1 hr per drink. Propoxyphene peak effect is at 1-2 hr. Basically by the time you are reading this, the serious interactions would have made you unconscious or not. Fatal overdoses occur with mixing narcotics and alcohol, but only at the time both are about their peak blood levels
or didn't happen.
