Is RA Related With, Positive ANA Screen With Tender Glands In Neck And Ear?
Hi I am waiting to be seen by a rheumatologist. I have a positive ANA screen, a 3.4 centromere b antibody. My mom and grandmas had rheumatoid arthritis. I went to my GP to obtain an anti inflammatory drug. She did not order me a prescription and said go to the rheumatologist. I hate spending more money on blood tests. Can the doctor prescribe or what is your thoughts. I have tender glands under neck and by ear but I do not run a fever.

If there is no improvement then we will need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP, tuberculin test, and Fine needle aspiration cytology or open biopsy.
