Is Remeron 30 Advisable For Depression?

i have been on Remeron for my depression and last Friday i went into Dr. cuz I have been feeling off for sometime. Dr upped my dose and I was wondering when i should notice some improvement in my mood? Dr. upped my dose from 15 to 30...also what can i expect for side effects being that the remeron is already in my system, if any.
