Is Sinarest Af The Right Medicine For Cold In A Child?
Dear Doctor,
I have a 18 yr old toddler. A few months back, she had been prescribed Sinarest AF for her cold symptoms and that had worked pretty well for her. She again has the same symptoms and I only have regular Sinarest Syrup. I wanted to ask if the Sinarest AF and Sinarest Syrup are the same group of drugs? Also what should be the dosage of Sinarest Syrup for 18months toddler (weight 28 lbs). Appreciate your help. Thanks.
Sinarest AF and Sinarest both has almost same composition. Both contains antiallergic and nasal decongestant but Sinarest contains acetaminophen(paracetamol) which is not there in sinarest AF. If your baby has no fever sinarest AF will be appropriate. The dose of sinarest syrup for 28 lbs baby will be 5 ml 2-3 times a day depending on severity. It is a prescription medicine, please get it prescribed by her doctor. Regards
