Is Solox Effective For Treatment Of Hiatus Hernia?

Hi I have been taking Losec for about 10 yearsI also take thyroxine for underactive thyroid. and have hiatus hernia. Losec hes beenprescribed for me but it is not subsidised so has got quite expensive. I would like to change to Solox - do you think this is OK? Many Thanks Lily Coles

Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted your history of you taking Losec that is Pantoprazole for about 10 years, a long time to have this. Solox is Lansoprazole and if cheaper, you can certainly change over.
Since you are taking PPI for such a longtime, it is necessary to see that you are not suffering from acid suppression related to worm infestation, vitamins deficiency and so on. Also you must see if there is some surgical correction that can help you.
