Is Sorbiline Syrup Safe In Bone Tuberculosis Patients?
Dear Sir,I have questions for my mother;suffering from Bone TB,taking treatment from 27th September 2013,6th month courses but in January 2014 the Doctor gave another 8 month courses..she is also having hepatitis c..her stomach area becomes pain and she feels like swelling..she has jaundice,sensation of vomitting,she takes Sorbiline syrup since the past two months...does it have a side effect for the bone tuberculosis and before completing the TB treatment is it safe to have a liver bending?
Hi welcome to HCM Any bone T B treatment takes 9 months to 18 months. It depends upon MRI report initially. Sorbiline syrup are used to treat Jaundince/ motion motality not for tuberculosis. Your doctor prescribe it treat Jaundice. Here is some tuberculosis (not all) drugs are hepatotoxicity need to with hold till the bilirubin level come down to normal. Side effect of sorbilin Sinus tachycardia, Seizures, Urinary retention, Metabolic acidosis, Pulmonary congestion. Diuresis, Hyperosmolarity, Thirst, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Blurred vision, Facial flushing, SweatingX, Xerostomia. remember any doctor always prescribe drug to cure .
