Is TB Recurrence Possible While On TB Medication?

Hi please help answer.. I am currently taking tb meds 7th month now. But lately, i ve been experiencing a pin prick like pain at my upper right chest. I m having a mild cough. Is possible to comeback again while taking meds? I don t lose my appetite, I don t sweat at night, I don t have fever

Thanks for your question on HCM. Yes it is quite possible to worsening of TB even after taking AKT. The reason for this is drug resistant TB. But you need to have bacteriological diagnosis for this. By your symptoms I dont think you are having drug failure. But I still suggest to go for repeat chest x ray and sputum examination. If worsening of chest x ray is there or AFB is present in sputum microscopy than you should worry about drug resistant TB. In my opinion consult TB specialist and discuss about this.
