Is UTI Or Yeast Infections Related With Mucus & Bloody Bowels?
I am 27 years old, female, with no prior health conditions. I just went to the bathroom and had bright red blood and mucus in my bowel movement. I have no idea what would cause this. The only health problems I've had are uti, bv, yeast infections from antibiotic use. Could it somehow be related to that?
HI Well come to HCM Thank for asking, I really appreciate your concern, given symptoms of blood stained stool with mucus could be indicative of protozoa infection, if I would be doctor of this case then I would try to treat this case with Tab Metronidazole 40 mg twice in day for five days it is pretty common infection but comes around with the suggested drug and no need to worry about this, condition of UTI and treatment given for it are not related it is the separate condition, only thing is antibiotic may cause the diarrhea but it may not cause the blood in stool and mucus hope this information helps.
