Is Venlafaxine Similar To Duloxetine?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic They are not the same drug but in a similar family of medication. Duloxetine is a SNRI medication. This means that it causes increased levels of both serotonin and norepinephrine. Venlafaxine is also an SNRI and would be most similar to duloxetine. Celexa, zoloft, prozac and paxil are SSRI can cause increased levels of serotonin only. I hope this helps
