Is Vitamin B12 Be The Cause For Varying Pregnancy Test Results?
I recently stopped taking adderall (20mg 2x daily) so combat the drowsiness I ve been feeling I ve been taking 3 5000mg B12 chewable tablets. I am really unsure of my men s trial cycle bc it s changed the past several months but I ve been taking the b12 for a solid week now and I ve been feeling funny... Slightly sluggish and abdominal cramping, and slight nausea.. I ve taken 2 urine test 1 positive then ept first response 1 negative... Is it possible for the b12 to be interfering with all this causing the symptoms and test results?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Vitamin B 12 injections or tablets do not cause any interference in the results of the urine pregnancy test. I will suggest you to repeat the urine pregnancy test to confirm the diagnosis. If not confirmatory, then you should do a blood test to detect the pregnancy, if present. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
