Is ZnPT Present In Shampoos Linked To Carcinogenesis?
Hello, My question is regarding zinc pyrithione, the common anti-microbial in anti-dandruff shampoos. Is there available a dermatologist who perhaps reviews the literature on this subject and would be willing to comment on the ability of ZnPT to up relate heat shock protein expression in karatinocytes at nano-molar concentrations, and whether or not ZnPT has ever been linked to carcinogenesis. Do you recommend ZnPT products to your pts? Why/why not? My cordial greetings and thanks.
It is widely prescribed brand and has got fewer chances for side effects.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
