Is A Burning Sensation At The Vaginal Opening A Side Effect Of Taking Norethisterone?
I have recently been prescribed norethisterone as I have been continuously spotting for an unknown reason. I also have endometriosis. Two days into taking the tablets I started to feel as burning sensation at my vaginal opening. Could this be related to the norethisterone...?
Itching in the vaginal region is not a known side effect caused by its intake. Kindly use 'V- wash' solution and keep the genital area under good hygiene. You can take Tablet. Levocetirizine to overcome itching symptom.
Despite this, if the symptoms continue to bother you, kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
