I think your husband has undergone an ultrasound guided lithotripsy procedure. A delayed void can indicate some stone fragments getting passed through lower ureter (the tube connecting kidney with bladder) or some stones blocking the urethra (tube connecting bladder to external opening). Does he have any pain? If there is no pain, you can wait for some time and continue the medications given by your Urologist. If he still does not pass urine within a few hours, you need to get back to the treating facility. I hope I have answered your query. I am available for any further clarification you may need in future. Wish your husband a speedy recovery, Warm regards, Dr. Raguram G MS, MRCS, MCh (Uro), F. Endouro Endourologist AUKI
