Is A Headache After Nitro For Atrial Fibrillation Normal?

I was hospitalized three days ago for afib and chest pain. I was given nitro under the tongue and shortly after that got a nitro patch on my leg. I also was given Carleton for my a fib and lopressor to stabilize my heart rate. I was only there for a little over 24 hours. My question is I started getting a headache since they gave me the nitro and it is just getting worse is that normal.

Hi welcome to HCM.
Headache after the intake of nitro patch is common due to drug related side effect.This would subside in the due course of time.The drug would case dilatation of blood vessels in the brain causing headache.I advise you to have a 2 dimensional echo and ecg to rule out organic heart disease.Continue your prescribed medications.Avoid coffee and alcohol.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
