Is A Heart Rate Of 125 Too High During Physical Activity?

I had a mild Heart attack 10 months ago. I had a stent put in my diagonal vein. I am in good shape and have no other blockages. I am prone to anxiety attacks now, hence my question. While push mowing my small yard, I notice that my heart rate, when i finish, is about 125. Resting rate is always in the 60 s. It takes about 20 mins to go back to normal. Is 125 too high for this activity?

Hello. Welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Yes. Heart rate of 125 per minute during slight exertion is needs to control.
After a heart attack usually we try to keep heart rate on lower side of normal around 60-70.low heart rate will help to function heart muscle effectively.

Ask your doctor whether he is giving you B-blockers (like metoprolol, atenolol etc). This drugs are usually necessary after a heart attack to control the heart rate effectively . Ivabradine is a second drug that also can be used to control heart rate.

Thank you.
Have a nice day.
